Adorned, But Unseen
Canvas, linen, copper patina, foam, wood, paint
The body, long a silent background for jewelry, often fades beneath the shine of adornment. This project shifts the focus from object to the body that carries it, exploring the physical relationship between jewelry and wearer by closely examining the body parts that holds them. The body often bears subtle marks, imprints, or changes caused by wearing. Using canvas to represent skin, the works capture these imprints, translating bodily interactions into visual and tactile form. The works invite to have a closer look at how adornment shapes the body through touch, pressure, and time—encouraging a more embodied understanding, where the body is not the background, but a living, breathing protagonist.
